Dr. Brown's presentation covered six CBM related projects of the Western Resources Project. The projects were set up to provide unbiased peer reviewed research to fullfill the needs of CBM stakeholders. Work sites are located in Wyoming and the work was funded by Apache Corporation, ConocoPhillips Petroleum Company, and Marathon Oil Company. Produced Water
• Investigations of channel ponds

Ground Water
• Changes in ground water quality along Coal Creek

• Salinity and sodicity of produced waters in the Powder River Basin and their beneficial use for crop production and rangeland.
Reservoir
• Cross well tomography to aid understanding of production and vertical communication.
• Evaluation of injection of CBM water as a cost effective process.
